NOTE: This walkthrough was made using Mozilla Thunderbird version 2.0.0.9. You can check which version you're using by clicking the "Help" dropdown menu and selecting "About".

). When you first open Mozilla Thunderbird, the following window opens. Select "Email Account" and click "Next".
). In the field labeled "Your Name" enter your name. This will be displayed when you send/forward messages. Next, in the field labeled "Email Address", type in your e-mail address. Your e-mail address is a combination of your account's username, and @advertisnet.com, @dam.net, or @lakeozark.net (You can choose which suffix to use). (Example: If your user name is sam, and you want to use @advertisnet.com as your suffix, your e-mail address will be sam@advertisnet.com).
). Select "POP", then, in the "Incoming Server" field. Type pop.advertisnet.com.
). In the field labeled "Incoming User Name" type in the username associated with your account. (Example: if your user name is sam, use sam).
). Click Finish. But there is one more task to perform before your e-mail is usable.
). At the top of the Mozilla Thunderbird window, click on the "Tools" dropdown menu and select "Accounts".
). Select "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" and click the "Add" button to the right.
). In the new window that opens, in the field labeled "Sever Name" type smtp3.advertisnet.com. Click on the box labeled "Use name and password" and use the same user name as you did with the incoming server address. Finally, select "No" under "Use secure connection" and click OK. Congratulations! Your e-mail is now ready for use! (NOTE: Thunderbird does not ask for an account password until you try downloading/sending mail for the first time. At that point, simply enter the password associated with your account).
